A voluntary blood donation and informational action willtake place at the University General
Hospital of Alexandroupoli,
on Wednesday, 14/02/2024
from 9:30 to 15:00
(in the amphitheatre area inside the hospital, next to the canteen)
The blood donation is organized by the University General Hospital of Alexandroupoli, in collaboration with the Department of Medicine of Democritus University of Thrace, the Hellenic Red Cross of Alexandroupoli, the Association of Volunteer Blood Donors of Alexandroupoli and the Psychological and Counseling Support Center of D.U.Th.
The blood donation is open to the public and symbolic
on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
“WE SHOW OUR LOVE IN PRACTICE”
for anyone who wishes to contribute, so that together we can help people in need: road accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, women in childbirth, children with leukemia, patients with hematological diseases or malignancies.
Alongside the blood donation, there will be information and registration of bone marrow donors, in collaboration with the Nursing Service Directorate and the Blood Donation Department of the University General Hospital of Alexandroupoli (for blood donors <45 years old), through saliva sample collection.
